A heartfelt thank-you
Dear friend of KISSed Quilts,
Thank you so much for your generosity with funds, blocks, quilt tops, fabric, and tools as we rallied together to support our friend Zella A. after her home burned in the Old Trails–Spokane Fire. Together, we raised enough to provide a new tablet and cover, clothing, and plenty of groceries.
This photo was taken at the peaceful country Airbnb she is renting while the insurance company sorts out the details. With a creek running through the property, it has been a complete blessing for her.
Two donated quilt tops were quilted and bound for Zella's grandson and for the woman who was also living in the home at the time of the fire. They felt like the perfect quilts to provide some comfort.
We have invited Zella to retreat, so retreat guests will have an opportunity to see her in person and hear her story from that life-altering day.

Classes are coming
We are making progress on the facilities that will make classes easily doable. Thank you for your patience! If there are classes you'd love to take, please let me know—I am taking notes so we can be ready with options when the space is ready.
You Can Quilt! is our beginner-friendly class that meets three times a month for 12 months and walks through the book I co-authored, one block at a time. No prior experience is needed; you will simply need access to a sewing machine you can bring to class. We have the beginning tools in the shop to help equip you for success.
I am hopeful to begin again in January. Interested? Let me know so I can add you to the list. I will also be teaching at Sew Expo in Puyallup in March 2027—watch for details next month!

Thank you to everyone who has visited and shopped the new space since our consistent hours began on April 1.

| October 12–16 Closed for retreat at Hayden Lake, Idaho |
I will try to maintain Monday–Friday, 10am–4pm, except as noted above. I am happy to take appointments outside these hours and on Sundays. Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday hours will be shared as soon as they are confirmed.

Lincoln County Fair: 90 quilts strong!
What a great showing at the Lincoln County Fair in Davenport—90 quilts! Next year, the Superintendent hopes for 100, so as you create this year, consider entering your beautiful work. I entered 13 quilts myself, and at least one KISSed Quilts customer entered several. Blue ribbons all around!
The fair was also the first public showing of my second signature collection: Coral Carnival.
Coral Carnival BOM
Pre-cuts have arrived, and I am taking pre-orders for the Carnival BOM beginning in January. This intermediate-level quilt is 10 steps and finishes at 93" x 93". The kit with pattern is $229, or pay by step at $30 per month plus applicable sales tax and/or shipping. Inspired by an amusement park at the beach and a pow wow, it is a joyful quilt with so much movement and color. Would you like to take it as a class? Let me know!
More Coral Carnival designs are in the works: Aquarium, Dangling Diamonds, Sea Dance, and Coral School.
|
Aquarium 2-1/2" Strip and 5" Stamp Friendly, Wonderfil Instant Applique, Accuquilt Sea Life Medley Die and Embroidery

|
Dangling Diamonds uses Boondoggle Rulers, 10" stack Friendly

|
Sea Dance |
Coral School uses EZPiecing leave-in foundations—and newsflash: a wall-hanging version will be taught at Sew Expo!
Interested in any of these? Patterns are being finalized now. Pre-cuts and background fabrics are available, and I can ship as soon as patterns are ready. For designs that need yardage, please let me know soon so we can place the necessary order for fabrics that will arrive in January.

Quilts on the road
Beyond our own Pacific NW Shop Hop, two of my designs were included in shop hop magazines around the country this summer. Each quilt has been on display in its shop hop region and will eventually go to someone in my circle of friends and family in that locale.
One is at White Flower Quilt Shop in Clinton, Missouri for the All Missouri Shop Hop. The other is with Ana's Sewing Studio in Wisconsin for the All Wisconsin Shop Hop, and will eventually make its way to Wausau. If you are in either area and would like details, just ask!

Ombre florals are back
Superbloom fabrics sold out in just a couple of days last year! I found an opportunity to bring this popular design back, along with several similar ombre floral designs. This is your chance to bring these beauties home.
Use them beautifully with the Bar Hop pattern—a lovely option if you purchased collection pre-cuts and need a project idea.
