Big news out of Minnesota!
1st Place for 24 Karat Rondure (in its category)!
 I've also received word that it was juried into the Pacific International Quilt Festival in Santa Clara, CA, July 24-27. I attended this show many years ago before quilting was my business and was very inspired by the many exhibits and juried quilts. I hope to go again this year. Will you be there too?
Disappointing news that it was not juried into the Quilts, Inc. - Houston Quilt Festival. I share this so that there is some understanding of this process. How can you win at some shows and not get into others? The jury is made up of individuals who have their own taste. Judges are also individuals who also have their own biases. Sometimes they align with your projects and sometimes they just don't. There are many amazing quilts submitted for consideration. My primary reason for sharing my quilts is to inspire others, maintain a reputation in the industry and attract customers to my business. This quilt felt worthy.
I've finished up four new quilts for Fall Market and shipped them off to Island Batik. The patterns are now ready as well, but won't be shared until they do reveals later this fall. But fabrics won't be available until 2025 ...so now we wait ;-)
A new design I can reveal is the Four Placemat Table Topper. This is showcasing a new collection from Northcott -- Autumn Gathering. I designed this with the idea that any pre-printed placemat style blocks could be incorporated into a quilt that makes a lovely table topper. Everybody gets a placemat and you've only had to put on one binding! This pattern uses a border print, but any coordinating fabric could work. I've got two different placemat prints here in the shop. Got some placemat prints sitting around? Patterns are available in the shop or for digital download.

Sew-ins --Due to the heat ...there may not be any until it begins to cool down. If seriously interested in attending on the chance it is in the 80s on a Monday ....let me know and I'll keep you posted. I do have another commission I am working on, and several oversized customer quilts that I have to work on at home...so best if coming to shop in-person--please text or call me ahead of time with an ETA so I can be sure to be at the shop.
