Congratulations Gordon & Zulita! Welcome Ezra! Received fabric from Windham 6/23. Finished 6/24 amongst my birthday pre-planned activities ;-) Late in the day light on this one. “Elephant's Play” - Jungle Version! Made as a store sample for Highland Quilts, Athena, OR. 4 snails - extra large version The finished quilt! “Will You Accept This Rose?” -- Lap size according to the new pattern written by Jackie Robinson--edited by me ;-). I'm very pleased. Thank you to everybody who voted for my block which resulted in giving me this wonderful opportunity! quilting detail of join of 4 inner-quad jewel blocks -- a big cabbage rose! the black and ecru triangles get a single swirl/wave like design. I used a red variegated thread for the rose. quilting detail of split stripe on point squares; outline of the motif both in the black and ecru. Backside of the finished quilt. Wall Hanging for WWVQFestival 2010 Silent Auction - proceeds go to the Alzheimer's Art Quilt Initiative. --In progress. Jess Berry did the hand applique, I did the rest. Fabrics used are 'basic grey/blush for moda' and michael miller 'dumb dot' is the dark brown. I used a minkee type brown w/pink dots on the back. “Zoe” by Crysta....ths is the top portion. I'll try to get a full quilt picture today in the sunlight and post later. The client intends to cut the raw edge applique that I stitched down and wash it to create texture. tickets are the border...this was a really fun fabric to work with, reproduction-like.
